We participated in the 48th Travel+ Exhibition, which took place between February 19–22 at the HUNGEXPO Budapest Congress and Exhibition Center.

At the Székelyföld (Szeklerland) stand – in collaboration with the tourism associations of Covasna and Mureș counties – we once again presented the tourism offer of Harghita County. Visitors had access to Visit Harghita publications, the Szekler Kitchen & Garden magazine, promotional materials from Mini Transylvania Park, as well as offers from Septimia Resort & Spa.

As co-exhibitors, we were joined by the staff of the Székely Border Guard Memorial Center in Frumoasa/Csíkszépvíz, who provided detailed information about the thousand-year history of the Szekler community and the center’s permanent exhibition.

There was strong interest in caravan camping opportunities, hiking trails, and group travel programs. Individual travelers also inquired about bus excursions departing from Hungary, as well as local travel agencies and tour guides that offer full-service travel organization upon request.

Our discussions with visitors focused particularly on summer programs, attractions, gastronomic festivals, and events, as Harghita County will hold the title of European Region of Gastronomy in 2027. In this context, we also showcased local gastronomic venues and the region’s culinary specialties.

Feedback confirms that the tourism offer of Szeklerland remains highly popular, and by placing emphasis on sustainable and innovative tourism, the region can attract even more visitors in the future.
